Srijan The Spark’s Diwali Get-Together – An Evening of Melodious Music
UdaipurSrijan The Spark hosted its Diwali get-together at the Ceremony Resort on Sohagpura 100 Feet Road, Udaipur. The event featured evergreen songs performed by Bollywood singers Mahesh Moyl and Nupur Kaushal, creating a soulful musical evening.
The evening began with Kumar Sanu’s song “Tu Meri Hai Prem Ki Bhasha”. The duo then performed a series of iconic tracks including Udit Narayan’s “Chaand Ne Kuch Kaha, Raat Ne Kuch Suna”, Kishore Kumar’s “Dekha Ek Khwaab”, Mohammad Rafi’s “Kitna Pyara Wada Hai In Matwali Aankhon Ka”, Rafi–Lata’s “Tere Haathon Mein Pehna Ke Choodiya”, Rishi Kapoor–Neetu Singh’s “Aankhon Mein Kajal Hai”, R.D. Burman’s “Tera Phoolon Jaisa Rang”, Rajesh Khanna–Sharmila Tagore’s “Gunguna Rahe Bhanwar”, Sharmila Tagore–Shammi Kapoor’s “Ye Chaand Sa Roshan Chehra”, and Johnny Walker’s “Jaane Kahan Mera Jigar Gaya Ji”. Their performances added a magical touch to the celebration.
Srijan The Spark President, Srijan Rajendra Sharma, welcomed all members and shared the blueprint of the music academy being constructed by the organization. He highlighted that the initiative aims to preserve invaluable heritage in art, culture, and music, provide a platform for emerging talent, and safeguard ancient art forms, music, and instruments.
Former Apex President G.R. Lodha mentioned that several donors, including P.S. Talesra, Manik Nahar, Bhupendra Babel, Bhupendra Shrimali, Ikram Quraishi, Rajesh Khamesra, Rajendra Sharma, and Ramesh Khattar, have contributed to the construction of the music academy.
Concluding the event, Honorary Secretary Rajendra Bhandari expressed gratitude and explained that the organization was founded 15 years ago by a few music-loving members to realize the vision of former Police Commissioner Prasanna Khamesra. Today, Srijan The Spark has 18 active chapters across India and abroad, and has evolved into an international institution. The event was hosted by Brajendra Seth.
