#### Prof. B.L. Verma Assumes Charge as Vice Chancellor of MPUAT
Udaipur, Prof. B.L. Verma, Vice Chancellor of Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota, formally assumed additional charge as Vice Chancellor of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, at an auspicious hour at 4 PM on Wednesday. The university community extended a warm welcome to Prof. Verma on the occasion.

The ceremony was graced by outgoing Vice Chancellor Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnataka, Registrar Ashok Kumar, Finance Controller Ms. Darshana Gupta, senior officials, directors, deans, faculty members, staff, pensioners’ association, and student representatives, who felicitated Prof. Verma with traditional shawls, bouquets, and garlands.
The event also witnessed the presence of former Vice Chancellor Dr. Uma Shankar Sharma, Mr. Karan Singh Shaktawat, Employee Committee President Rajni Kant, Vice President L.N. Salvi, and dignitaries from Mohanlal Sukhadia University including Mr. Bharat Vyas, Dr. Hemraj Chaudhary, Dr. Ashish Sisodia, Dr. Kunjun Acharya, Dr. Mukesh Kumar Meena, Dr. Anil Kothari, and Dr. Sagar Samariya.
After assuming charge, Prof. Verma met with deans, directors, faculty members, and students to gain insights into the university’s ongoing activities. Addressing the Senior Officers’ Council, he emphasized that his focus would be on advancing agricultural research, education, and extension through innovative approaches aligned with the framework of the New Education Policy.
Prof. Verma expressed gratitude to the Hon’ble Governor and Chancellor, Shri Haribhau Bagde, and the State Government for the appointment, assuring his commitment to good governance and holistic development in the fields of education, research, extension, and skill development.
It is noteworthy that the Hon’ble Governor and Chancellor issued the formal appointment order for Prof. Verma as Vice Chancellor of MPUAT on Tuesday, October 14. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Registrar Ashok Kumar.
