Judicial Officers’ Educational Visit to Rajasthan College of Agriculture

Udaipur – A group of newly appointed Judicial Officers (Trainees) of 2025, under the guidance of the Rajasthan State Judicial Academy, Jodhpur, and as per the prescribed module of the Hon’ble Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur, visited various departments of the Rajasthan College of Agriculture, a constituent college of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur.

During the visit, the officers explored several units on campus, including the Directorate of Extension Education Museum, Lac Insect Unit, Insect Museum, Natural Farming Unit, Mushroom Project, Biotechnology Laboratory, and Poultry (Chicken) Farming Unit.

A total of 107 trainee judicial officers participated in this academic exposure visit.

Dr. S.S. Lakhawat, Assistant Dean (Student Welfare) of the college, welcomed the delegation coordinator and Shri Dinesh Tyagi, Director, Rajasthan Judicial Academy. Dr. S.S. Sisodia briefed the officers on the contributions of the Pratap Research Foundation and the Mewar dynasty in agricultural development and water resource management.

Dr. Rajeev Baidathi shared insights about the university’s extension education activities, while Dr. S. Ramesh Babu provided information about the Insect Museum, and Dr. Hemant Swami explained the Lac Insect Unit and Lac Production Techniques.

At the Natural Farming Unit of the Training Farm, the officers showed keen interest in learning about organic and natural farming practices. Dr. Ravindra Kumar Jain elaborated on the various inputs and technologies used in sustainable farming and shared his experiences.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. K.K. Yadav, Professor and Head, Department of Agricultural Chemistry and Soil Science, and Nodal Officer of the visit.
