Udaipur: ASG Eye Hospital has announced a special initiative for the Diwali season, organizing a 10-day free consultation and surgery camp at its Madhuban center from October 15 to October 24, 2025.

Under this initiative, free consultations and necessary surgeries for eye injuries caused by firecrackers will be available across all ASG Eye Hospital centers during the specified period.
Firecracker-related eye injuries remain a serious public health concern during Diwali, often leading to severe and irreversible damage. According to Dr. Rohit Kumar Yogi, Medical Director of ASG Eye Hospital, national survey data shows over 2,000 cases of firecracker-related eye injuries, with approximately 60% affecting children under 15 and around 10% resulting in permanent vision loss.
These statistics highlight the urgent need for preventive measures to protect vulnerable groups and ensure a safe celebration. Studies indicate that up to 20% of emergency eye trauma cases during Diwali are due to firecrackers, with children under 15 accounting for nearly 30% of these cases.
