Udaipur: The book “Gau Vigyan Pariksha 2025”, which beautifully presents the confluence of reverence and science for the sacred cow in Indian culture, was released by District Collector Namit Mehta in Udaipur. The event was organized under the aegis of Gau Seva Gatividhi, Chittor Province.
Committee member Naresh Nagda informed that the Gau Vigyan Pariksha 2025 will be held on 18th November 2025, open to students across all levels. The objective of this examination is to promote scientific awareness among students about the multifaceted contributions of the cow to society.
The event was attended by Joint Director (Education) Chandrashekhar Joshi, Udaipur Division Examination Incharge Mahipal Singh Rathore, Mahanagar Incharge Anil Ameta, Chandrashekhar Chaubees, Gau Seva Coordinator Kailash Hanswal, Block Incharges Padam Jain, Sanjay Shandilya, Ramavatar Dhobi, Devendra Menaria, Mahendra Nagda, Surendra Meena, Devi Lal Sharma, and Mukesh Joshi, along with several volunteers and education officials.
It is noteworthy that earlier, on 10th June 2025, the poster of Gau Vigyan Pariksha 2025 was unveiled by Anil Oak, All India Co-Organizing Chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. The campaign has been steadily expanding. In 2024, the examination was conducted at 4,690 centers across Rajasthan, with around 3.22 lakh students participating. Nationally, it reached over 8,000 centers, engaging about 7 lakh participants, reflecting society’s growing interest in scientific understanding and awareness related to the cow.
Youth to be connected with the scientific value of the cow
The syllabus of the examination includes topics highlighting the scientific, agricultural, medical, environmental, and social relevance of the cow, along with its traditional and spiritual significance. All participants will be provided with a free copy of the study book, and those performing exceptionally will be awarded certificates and prizes.
Cows have always been an integral part of Indian life, contributing immensely to agriculture, environmental balance, and health traditions. Introducing today’s youth to the scientific and practical importance of the cow is essential to developing “sensitivity with a scientific outlook.”
A movement for spreading scientific cow awareness
The Gau Vigyan Pariksha is not merely an exam but a nationwide campaign for societal awakening through cow science. It aims to spread knowledge about the economic, environmental, and medicinal significance of the cow among the masses. Approximately 2,500 volunteers across Rajasthan are actively contributing to this mission of promoting scientific cow consciousness.
