Neetu Salvi Awarded Ph.D. Degree by Sukhadia University

Udaipur: Research scholar Neetu Salvi from the Faculty of Education, Mohanlal Sukhadia University, has been awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree for her research work titled “A Comparative Study of Morale, Professional Commitment and Development of School Lecturers Selected through Promotion and Direct Recruitment.”

Neetu Salvi carried out her research under the supervision of Dr. Ramesh Chandra Nagda, Principal, The Nobles Teachers Training College.

The study revealed several significant findings. School lecturers selected through both promotion and direct recruitment demonstrated consistently high morale across all measured dimensions. However, the morale level of lecturers selected through direct recruitment was found to be higher compared to those promoted internally. Similarly, in the streams of arts, commerce, and science, the morale of directly recruited lecturers was observed to be higher than that of lecturers promoted within the same subjects.

In terms of professional commitment, both categories of lecturers—promoted and directly recruited—displayed uniformly high levels of dedication, scoring consistently above the average cut-off marks in all areas, indicating their strong professional commitment. No significant difference was found between the two groups across various disciplines.

Regarding professional development, lecturers selected through both methods showed equally high levels of engagement and progress. Their scores exceeded the prescribed average in all areas, reflecting their strong professional growth and development. The results also confirmed that, across arts, commerce, and science streams, the professional development of both groups remained consistent and comparable.
