#### Inspection of Two Dozen Establishments Led by CMHO Dr. Narendra Nagar

Report by K.D. Abbasi

Kota, November. Under the leadership of Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Narendra Nagar, inspections were conducted at two dozen establishments across Kota district.

During the drive, action was taken at various bakeries, where seven samples of products like cream rolls, biscuits, and cakes were collected. Around 98 kilograms of jam rolls and other bakery items wrapped in newspapers were destroyed in the public interest.

Due to poor hygiene and cleanliness conditions, the bakeries have been issued improvement notices under Section 32 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. The food business operators are required to submit their responses within a stipulated time. If the replies are found unsatisfactory, legal action will be initiated as per the law.

In view of the ongoing wedding season, a special intensive campaign is being conducted against sweet shops, bakeries, restaurants, messes, and dairy product sellers. Simultaneously, inspections and sampling of messes, hostels, and restaurants will continue.

The inspection team included Food Safety Officers Chandraveer Singh Jadon, Arun Saxena, Sandeep Agrawal, and Moji Lal Kumbhkar.
