Media In-charge Dr. Seema Champawat conducted and welcomed the session, where Udaipur MP Dr. Manna Lal Rawat, BJP City President Gajpal Singh Rathore, MLA Phool Singh Meena, BJP General Secretaries Paras Singhvi and Devilal Salvi, Dr. Pankaj Borana, Division Media In-Charge Chanchal Agarwal, and Spokesperson Govind Dixit addressed members of the print and electronic media.
MP Dr. Manna Lal Rawat stated that Lord Birsa Munda was a revered tribal hero and freedom fighter, whose contribution to India’s independence and tribal dignity has been immortalized in history. In his honor, the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is celebrating 15 November as “Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas” (Tribal Pride Day) across the nation.
He added that the celebration marks the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda, with various events organized nationwide to highlight the rich culture, traditions, and sacrifices of India’s tribal communities. Udaipur will host special programs including tribal dances, cultural processions, exhibitions, and seminars aimed at spreading awareness and preserving tribal heritage.
Dr. Rawat emphasized that the Central Government is committed to the ideology of development rooted in heritage, following the vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas.”
He further mentioned key initiatives under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs such as the Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana, Van Dhan Kendras, e-Governance projects, Tribal Museums, Research Centers, and continuous development efforts through the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT).
BJP City President Gajpal Singh Rathore remarked that the programs convey a strong message — development and respect for every section of society go hand in hand. “Along with Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas, it is equally important to ensure Sabka Gaurav,” he said.
Udaipur Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena added that the celebration of Birsa Munda’s 150th Jayanti will serve as a source of inspiration, urging everyone to participate actively and draw strength from his life and ideals.
