Udaipur, Education is not merely a source of knowledge but also the foundation of society, culture, and a value-based life. It not only makes individuals aware of their rights but also leads to social harmony and national development. These views were expressed by Prof. Pankaj Arora, Chairman of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi, while addressing a ceremony organized by Lokmanya Tilak Teacher Training College, a constituent unit of Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth.
Prof. Arora emphasized that connecting with society through education, understanding its needs, and choosing research and profession based on that understanding is the true path to self-growth and national advancement. He added that education links us with community concerns and guides us toward human values. He appreciated Vidyapeeth’s commitment to promoting a humanistic and socially oriented educational approach.
Prior to the event, Prof. Arora visited the Agriculture College and appreciated the institute’s efforts for the upliftment of underprivileged sections of society.
Welcoming the guests, Vice-Chancellor Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot said that the institution continues to work for holistic development, social upliftment, and nation-building. He stated that community service, skill development, and social responsibility are the core principles of the institution. He urged students and teachers to set new benchmarks of success through dedication, integrity, and innovation.
During the ceremony, Prof. Pankaj Arora was honored by the institution with a garland, shawl, memento, and a citation for his outstanding contribution to the field of education.
On the occasion, the book “Samkalin Bharat aur Shiksha” co-authored by Dr. Balidan Jain and Dr. Anita Kothari was also released.
The event was graced by Dean Prof. Saroj Garg, Dr. Mukund Jha, Nirmal Arora, Dr. Balidan Jain, Dr. Rachna Rathore, Dr. Ami Rathore, Dr. Bhuralal Shrimali, and Dr. Sunita Mundiya along with academic and non-academic staff members.
The program was conducted by Dr. Harish Chaubisa, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Dean Prof. Saroj Garg.
