‘Brush the Folk’ Highlights India’s Cultural Diversity at Spandan - 2025

Udaipur, As part of the Spandan - 2025 cultural festival, Pacific Medical University organized the ‘Brush the Folk’ competition, celebrating India’s regional art and folk traditions. Students showcased paintings inspired by diverse states, portraying the vibrant colors and cultural essence of the nation.

Held from October 31 to November 12, the event saw participation from over 160 students across the university’s constituent colleges. Coordinator Dr. Raheela Ghodch said the aim of the competition was to bring Indian folk art to life on one platform. Participants beautifully depicted art styles from Rajasthan, Punjab, Maharashtra, and South India.

Chief Guests Mr. Rakesh Agrawal, AMMD North India (Fevicryl), and Mr. Gopal Mathur, CMDI (Fevicryl Rajasthan), appreciated the artistic talent of the students and remarked that such initiatives strengthen cultural understanding and creativity among youth.

Chairperson Mr. Rahul Agrawal commended the HR Department and Dr. Raheela Ghodch for their efforts in encouraging students to explore art as a way to relieve stress and express creativity. An exhibition featuring all 160 artworks was also organized during the event.

Dr. U.S. Parihar, Dr. M.M. Mangal, and Spandan coordinator Mr. Neeraj Chaplot announced the winners — Ashwin Patidar (PMCH) secured first place, Devyani Patidar (PDCRC) second, and Mishti Gautam (PMCH) third. The winners will be felicitated during the main Spandan celebration on November 15.
