Prime Minister Vikasit Bharat Employment Scheme Reviewed

In connection with the Prime Minister Vikasit Bharat Employment Scheme, the In-charge Regional Provident Fund Commissioner–I of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, Udaipur, Prashant Kumar Sinha, was received by Divisional Commissioner Ms. Pragya Kevalramani. During the meeting, details of the various components of the scheme were explained.

It was informed that the scheme was formally launched by the Prime Minister on 15 August 2025. Under the scheme, all establishments covered under the Provident Fund and units operating in the manufacturing sector are proposed to be granted an honorarium ranging from ₹1,000 to ₹3,000 per month per employee for creating additional employment for an extended period of four years, i.e., two years beyond the current structure, up to 31 July 2027.

Similarly, first-time entrants in employment are proposed to be provided with assistance of up to ₹15,000 per year, released in two instalments directly into the Aadhaar-linked bank accounts of newly recruited personnel. The Regional Commissioner requested that personnel working in government, government undertakings, and semi-government bodies be ensured PF membership so they may avail benefits under the scheme.

It was further highlighted that under the Employee Enrollment Campaign 2025, employees who remained in service between 1 July 2017 and 31 October 2025, but were not extended Provident Fund benefits, may be enrolled between 1 November 2025 and 30 April 2026 on payment of only ₹100 as penalty, thereby regularising their membership.

According to Commissioner Sinha, the major objective of the scheme is to generate 3.5 crore new employment opportunities, strengthen the manufacturing sector, and further enhance skill development across the country.

Registration work in PF-covered establishments located in Udaipur, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Pratapgarh, Dungarpur, Banswara, Salumber, and other districts under the Udaipur Regional Office is stated to be in progress. Completion has been targeted before 31 December, enabling maximum employers to secure benefits under the scheme.
