Udaipur, The seven-day Cultural, Literary and Sports Competition 2025 for the BA-BEd and BSc-BEd students of the Faculty of Education under Manikyalal Verma Shramjeevi College, Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University, commenced on Thursday at the sports ground of Bhupal Nobles Institute. The event was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot, Minister of Vidya Pracharini Sabha Prof. Mahendra Singh Agaria, Managing Director Mohabbat Singh Rupakhedi, Joint Secretary Rajendra Singh Tana, Sports Secretary Dr. Bhavani Pal Singh Rathore, Dr. Yuvraj Singh Rathore and Principal Dr. Sunita Murdia, who offered floral tributes to Maa Saraswati, lit the ceremonial lamp and interacted with the participating players.
At the outset, Principal Dr. Sunita Murdia welcomed the guests and informed that a wide range of competitions will be organised during the seven days. These include cricket, volleyball, 100-metre and 200-metre races for boys and girls, badminton, kho-kho, kabaddi, shot put, javelin throw, discus throw, poetry recitation, group dance, solo singing, group singing, duet dance, drama, rangoli, poster-making, nail art, hair styling, without-gas cooking, mehndi, film making, fancy dress, best out of waste, theme-based classroom decoration and a fashion show.
Prof. Sarangdevot encouraged students to actively participate in co-curricular activities along with academic pursuits, as such participation contributes to holistic development and helps in maintaining physical fitness. He added that sports promote teamwork, leadership qualities and the ability to move forward with patience and determination.
The programme was conducted by Dr. Arpita Maththa, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Rohit Kumawat.
Winners Announced
Dr. Sunita Murdia informed that on the first day of the competition, Jaya secured first place in the 100-metre race, Anjali in the 200-metre race, Kritika in long jump, Mansi in javelin throw, and Mitali Kumawat in both shot put and discus throw.
Dr. Lalit Shrimali, Dr. Priya Chauhan, Dr. Neetu Panwar, Dr. Darshana Dave, Dr. Arpita Maththa, Ojasvi Sarangdevot, Monika Shandilya, Nalini Chundawat, Sanjay Bhardwaj, Kiran Jain and several students were present at the sports ground.
