Special Summary Revision Program Progress Reviewed; 58 BLOs Felicitated

Sri Ganganagar | In compliance with the directives of the Election Commission of India, the Special Summary Revision (SSR) of electoral rolls is currently underway across Sri Ganganagar district. On Tuesday, District Election Officer and District Collector Dr. Manju honored 58 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) for their commendable performance during a ceremony held at the Collectorate Conference Hall.

Dr. Manju stated that BLOs who have performed exceptionally well are being recognized today, and each of them deserves appreciation. She encouraged them to motivate at least ten other BLOs and assist them in completing the remaining tasks with the same dedication. She emphasized that mapping work is highly important, and during the revision, names of deceased voters and individuals who have permanently relocated must be removed from the voter list. Families who have temporarily shifted must be visited at least three times to verify details.

She noted that Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant EROs, and BLOs are collectively working with seriousness and responsibility, enabling Sri Ganganagar district to perform impressively in the SSR program. She appealed to BLOs to complete any pending electoral roll-related work in their areas at the earliest. She also informed that Chief Electoral Officer of Rajasthan, Shri Naveen Mahajan, is monitoring the progress daily, which has accelerated the pace of work.

Dr. Manju highlighted that significant progress has been achieved under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and that both male and female BLOs are performing their duties diligently. She encouraged them to ensure 100% digitization after EF (Electoral Forms) distribution and asked EROs to regularly review the work of their respective teams. Along with online EF submission, mapping work must also be executed with full responsibility, along with awareness among voters about the utility and importance of SIR.

She instructed all BLOs to speed up digitization and online EF submission and to actively spread voter awareness. She reiterated that officials who consistently perform well will always be honored and recognized.

Present on the occasion were Deputy District Election Officer Shri Subhash Kumar, Zila Parishad CEO Shri Girdhar, and other officials along with BLOs.
