Chief Minister Flags off Yamuna Pravah Yatra under Sardar@150

On the call of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi - Sardar Patel's 150th birth anniversary being celebrated across the country - Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma

- Drawing inspiration from Sardar Patel, youth should put 'Nation First' on priority

 

New Delhi :  Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma said that Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel played a crucial role in nation-building by uniting India with his visionary thinking, strong will, and bold decisions. He urged the youth to draw inspiration from Sardar Patel's life and put 'Nation First' on priority and contribute to building a strong, united, and developed India. Wishing everyone a Happy Constitution Day, Shri Sharma said that Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar gave us the world's largest Constitution, and the country is progressing on that basis.

On Wednesday, Mr. Sharma addressed the Yamuna Pravah Yatra, organized as part of the Sardar@150 Unity March, from the Amar Jawan Jyoti. He said that Sardar Patel's 150th birth anniversary is being celebrated across the country on the call of the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi. He also organized the Yamuna Pravah Yatra. He stated that as part of this yatra, youth from various states, including Rajasthan, will travel from Jaipur to Karamsad. This yatra is an opportunity for the youth to closely understand Sardar Patel's life, struggle, and patriotism. They will also gain a firsthand experience of Sardar Patel's ideals and values.

Sardar Patel Never Compromised on Principles

The Chief Minister stated that Sardar Patel made an invaluable contribution to the freedom movement. He was given the title of Sardar due to his influential role in the Bardoli Satyagraha. He actively participated in the freedom movement, teaching farmers to fight for their rights, and Sardar Patel even went to jail in this struggle. However, he never compromised on his principles.

Diplomacy and foresight unified 562 princely states

Shri Sharma said that India gained independence on August 15, 1947, but also suffered the pain of partition. At that time, the country was divided into hundreds of pieces. He said that Sardar Patel unified 562 princely independent entities. Using his diplomacy, foresight, and sometimes even harshness, Sardar Patel began integrating each princely state into India. He said that Sardar Patel integrated Hyderabad into India through Operation Polo and Junagadh through a referendum. He made India's unity and integrity his foremost goal and achieved it.

By removing Article 370, the Prime Minister fulfilled Sardar Patel's unfulfilled dream

The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister has undertaken to carry forward Sardar Patel's legacy. The Prime Minister fulfilled Sardar Patel's unfulfilled dream by removing Article 370 from Kashmir. He said that the Prime Minister is uniting India. The Statue of Unity, the world's largest statue, was built to honour Sardar Patel's contributions. Under the Prime Minister's leadership, unprecedented progress has been made since 2014, including poverty alleviation, development projects, the elimination of terrorism and Naxalism, and the country's increased global respect. He stated that the entire world is looking to India with hope, and under the leadership of the world's greatest leader, the country is reaching new heights.

CM Sharma stated that Sardar Patel's life is an inspiration for the youth and Indians. The younger generation can learn five key lessons from his life: devotion to duty, honesty and integrity, determination, unity, and simplicity. On this occasion, the Chief Minister flagged off the Yamuna Pravah Yatra as part of the Sardar@150 Unity March. Earlier, Mr. Sharma paid homage to the martyrs by laying a wreath at the Amar Jawan Jyoti.

During this, MP Mr. Madan Rathod, Mrs. Manju Sharma, MLA Mr. Kalicharan Saraf, Mr. Jitendra Gothwal, Mr. Gopal Sharma, Mr. Balmukundacharya and a large number of common people were present.
