St. Gregorios School’s Annual Sports Day 2025 Concludes with Great Enthusiasm
Udaipur. St. Gregorios Senior Secondary School, Udaipur celebrated its Annual Sports Day on 26 November 2025 at the Bhopal Nobles Ground with tremendous enthusiasm, energy and discipline. The chief guest for the event was Commander Shakeel Ahmed (Commanding Officer, 1 Raj. NU NCC, Udaipur), while the special guest was Ms. Mala Sukhwal (Deputy CTI, Indian Railways & Deputy Chief Referee, Powerlifting).
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the guests by Rev. Fr. Varghese Thomas (Manager), Mr. Alex Changmanil (Treasurer, School Management Committee), Principal Ms. Shubha Jose and Vice-Principal Mr. Anil Goswami. Following this, the school’s outstanding sportsperson Jahnvi Rathore lit the ceremonial torch and completed a spirited lap of the ground, symbolizing sportsmanship and discipline.
In his address, Chief Guest Commander Shakeel Ahmed emphasized that sports are the foundation of a student’s holistic development. Appreciating the school, he said that such events boost students’ confidence and encourage healthy competition.
Special Guest Ms. Mala Sukhwal, while officially closing the sports meet, addressed the students and highlighted that sports help instill discipline and keep the body energetic throughout the day.
The audience was captivated by the impressive drill performances, energetic Zumba, and well-coordinated aerobics presented by the students.
Students from various age groups enthusiastically participated in several sports events including the 100m and 200m races, three-legged race, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, long jump, triple jump, hurdle race, football, tug of war, hurdle & ring race, and arrange-the-number competition, showcasing their remarkable talent.
Towards the end of the ceremony, Rev. Fr. Varghese Thomas, Principal Ms. Shubha Jose and Vice-Principal Mr. Anil Goswami awarded medals and certificates to the winners. With excellent coordination and a disciplined environment, the event successfully concluded as a celebration of enthusiasm, inspiration and true sportsmanship.
