Skill-Based Practical Courses Strengthened at MLSU

Udaipur: A major academic initiative aligned with the National Education Policy-2020 was undertaken at Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU), where a comprehensive Academic Review Meeting on practical courses being conducted in B.Com programs was held at the Commerce College Seminar Hall. The meeting was jointly organized by the Constituent Commerce Faculty and IQAC, witnessing participation from affiliated college faculty members.

Presiding over the meeting, Vice-Chancellor Prof. B.P. Saraswat stated that the innovation introduced by Sukhadia University in practical-driven commerce education has become a model for Rajasthan. He firmly asserted that “Years-old notes will no longer work in classrooms. The era demands skill-based and employment-oriented learning.” He also announced the implementation of this model at Kota University. The session began with a welcome address by Faculty Dean & IQAC Director Prof. Shurveer Singh Bhanawat. Present were Associate Dean Dr. Shilpa Vardiya, Dr. Shailendra Singh Rao, CA Kamal Khurdia, CA Arun Pitliya, CA Hitesh Kudal, Controller of Examination Dr. Mukesh Barbar, Dr. Asha Sharma, Dr. Renu Sharma, and Dr. Parul Dashora.

BOC & COD Meeting Highlights – VC in Action
During the Board of Management (BOM) and Committee of Deans (COD) meeting, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Saraswat emphasized strategic academic reforms, enhanced accountability, and rapid decision-making for student welfare and administrative modernization. He reiterated that Sukhadia University will progress on a defined roadmap ensuring transparency, academic excellence, and discipline.

Admission Process Begins for BA 3rd & 5th Semesters
Admissions for BA 3rd and 5th semesters (2025–26) at the College of Social Sciences & Humanities have started. Dean Prof. Madan Singh Rathore informed that students can apply online through the university website from December 2 to 13, and submit hard copies by December 16.

Constitution Week Concludes at Science College
Constitution Week concluded at the Constitution Park with the oath ceremony led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Saraswat, with Registrar Dr. V.C. Garg as special guest. Dean Prof. C.P. Jain emphasized constitutional awareness and national duties.

Warm Felicitation of the New Vice-Chancellor
The Mohanlal Sukhadia University Employees Union and Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh felicitated newly-appointed Vice-Chancellor Prof. B.P. Saraswat by presenting a Mewari turban and shawl. Union representatives thanked the Hon’ble Governor for relieving former VC Prof. Sunita Mishra after prolonged opposition to her anti-employee policies and remarks on the history of Mewar. The welcome was extended by Patron Arvind Singh Rao, Patron Prateek Singh Ranawat, President Narayan Lal Salvi, Aditya Pandey, Mukul, Yogesh Paliwal, Manish Bansal, Dinesh Gurjar, Vijay Sharma, and others. They expressed hope for a new era of cooperation and university progress.
