Kota Medical Team Travels 150 km at Midnight to Collect Donated Eyes in Sawai Madhopur

Sawai Madhopur:In a compassionate act late Monday night, a medical team from Kota travelled nearly 150 kilometers to Sawai Madhopur to facilitate an eye donation under the Shine India Foundation’s Eye Donation Awareness Campaign.

Dr. Kulwant Gaur, who led the team, reached Sawai Madhopur after receiving information from Arpit Jain, a member of the Terapanth Yuvak Parishad. Jain informed that the family of Gaurav Jain, a resident of New Cloth Market, Sawai Madhopur, had given consent for eye donation following his demise.

After approval from the family and a call from the Parishad’s National President Kailash Jain in Jaipur, Dr. Gaur immediately left Kota by taxi. He reached Sawai Madhopur around 2:00 AM, where he completed the eye donation procedure in the presence of the family.

Members of Terapanth Yuvak Parishad, Adarsh Nagar — including President Beekam Chand Jain and Ritesh Kumar Goyal — provided support in enabling the timely coordination of this noble act.
