Divisional Commissioner Felicitates National Lacrosse Champions

Udaipur. The Rajasthan team, which returned after winning a double title at the 2nd Federation Cup Lacrosse Championship held in Katra, Jammu from December 5 to 7, received a grand welcome in Udaipur by the Divisional Commissioner, various institutions, and sports enthusiasts.

Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kewalramani felicitated team captain Sunita Meena, Mohanlal Gameti, other players, and coach Neeraj Batra at her office. The team, comprising a majority of players from the tribal regions of Udaipur, was praised for their exceptional skills and consistent performance that brought pride to the region.

She also conveyed the congratulatory message of Rajasthan Governor Hari Bhau Kishanrao Bagde, who extended best wishes to the players. The Governor had provided ₹10.20 lakh from his discretionary fund to support the team for the Federation Cup. He applauded the hard work and dedication of the tribal athletes and encouraged them to continue striving toward the Olympic dream and overall social upliftment.

The players and coach expressed gratitude to the Governor, the Rajasthan government, and the Udaipur Divisional Commissioner for their invaluable support and motivation.

The event was attended by Rajasthan Urban Improvement Trust Commissioner Rahul Jain, Rajasthan Mines & Minerals Ltd. Executive Director Kriti Rathore, DGM B.S. Patrabat, IT Director Giriraj Katheria, and other officials.

Earlier, the team received an enthusiastic welcome with drums, sweets, and celebrations by members of the Kalka Mata Vyapar Mandal and residents including Ashok Sharma, Satyanarayan Prajapat, G.L. Kumawat, Jaswant Upadhyay, Amita, Lakshita Tripathi, Suman Sharma, Anil Sharma, Vijay Nagar, Vikas Tripathi, Govind Singh Rathore, Anand Kunwar Rathore, and others.
The priests and devotees at Kalka Mata Temple, University Road, led by priest Devendra Singh Gaur, also welcomed the players warmly.

At the Department of Information and Public Relations, Deputy Director Gaurikant Sharma and staff members greeted the team, while at Rampura Chauraha, former Sarpanch of Seesarma Motilal Khada, along with Valu Ram Gameti, Nana Lal Gameti, and villagers, also extended their felicitations.
