Road Safety Fortnight to Be Held Till December 26; Public Awareness Activities Planned

Udaipur: As per the directions of the Rajasthan Government, a Road Safety Fortnight is being organized in the district from December 11 to December 26 under the joint aegis of the Transport Department, District Administration, and Aadhar Foundation.

Regional Transport Officer Gyan Dev Vishwakarma informed that the objective of this 15-day campaign is to increase public awareness about road safety and reduce road accidents. During the fortnight, awareness activities will be conducted for all sections of society, including children, women, senior citizens, auto and taxi drivers, school van/bus operators, and the general public.

Key Activities of the Campaign

During the 15-day Road Safety Fortnight, several programs will be organized, including:

  • Awareness sessions in schools

  • Training for children on road safety, safe walking routes, and the importance of helmets and seat belts

  • Demonstrations of first aid

  • Special workshops for women and senior citizens

  • Training programs for auto, taxi, and other drivers

Various other awareness activities will also be held to promote adherence to traffic rules and ensure safer roads.
