Udaipur: Ms. Anshi Sarita Sharma has been awarded a Ph.D. degree by Mohanlal Sukhadia University for her research titled “Social Welfare Schemes and Compliances of Labour Law: An Assessment-Centric Approach on Contract Labour.” She completed her doctoral research under the supervision of Prof. Rajeshwari Narendran.
Explaining the significance of her study, Anshi stated that labour plays a role similar to the bloodstream in the development of any nation, making the empowerment of workers essential. Her research provides a comprehensive understanding of the ground-level realities faced by contract labourers.
The study assesses the implementation of social welfare schemes and labour law compliances, offering insights into measures that can strengthen the position of contract workers. It also highlights necessary policy and workplace improvements to create safer, more inclusive, and productive working environments.
