Udaipur: Innovation, creativity, and scientific thinking were on full display at the inter-school Science Model Competition held during “Science Festival 2025” at Bal Vinay Mandir Senior Secondary School, Udaipur. The event was inaugurated by the school’s founder and principal, Mr. Shankarlal Menaria.
The competition featured 25 science models based on six different themes, presented by 61 students from six schools. More than 50 students from other schools and 25 teachers attended the festival to observe the innovative projects.
The valedictory session was graced by Dr. Manisha Sharma, Principal of Vidya Bhavan Govindram Seksaria Teacher Training College, Udaipur, as the chief guest. The session was presided over by Principal Mr. Shankarlal Menaria, with Ms. Shikha Menaria (Administrator) and Dr. Nitin Menaria (Vice Principal) as special guests.
The judging panel included Ms. Sunita Sharma, Principal of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Nai, along with Mr. Kailash Chandra Rawal and Mr. Nitin Purohit.
The closing ceremony began with an invocation and floral tribute to Goddess Saraswati.
In the competition, Mohammad Arhan Khan of Bal Shiksha Sadan Senior Secondary School, Udaipur secured the first prize.
The second prize was jointly awarded to Akash Deori and Vishvendra Singh Lakhawat of Indo American School, and Mohammad Abib of Bal Shiksha Sadan.
The third prize was won by Rachit Porwal, Anshul Sanwat, Vishal Singh Rajput of Alok Senior Secondary School, Fatehpura, along with Naman Rana and Narendra Meena of Bal Vinay Mandir.
Addressing the students, Mr. Kailash Chandra Rawal informed them about the free model-making support and materials provided by the Science Committee, Udaipur. Mr. Nitin Purohit emphasized linking science models with problem-based solutions.
Chief guest Dr. Manisha Sharma highlighted the importance of connecting science with environmental conservation and encouraged students to stay alert to future challenges.
The program was conducted by Ms. Nishat Parveen, while coordinators Mr. Darshit Upadhyay and Mr. Madan Lakhara, along with members of the Science Club, played an active role in organizing the event.
At the end, Dr. Nitin Menaria expressed gratitude to all guests, participants, and supporters. A large number of school staff and students were present during the program.
