Vidyapeeth Organises Mega Blood Donation Camp, Girls Lead the Way; 55 Units of Blood Collected

Udaipur: On the completion of two years of the Rajasthan Government, Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University organised a mega blood donation camp on Monday at the university’s Multipurpose Hospital. Students and staff members participated enthusiastically in the camp.

The camp was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Colonel Prof. Shivsingh Sarangdevot, Kuladhipati and Kul Pramukh Bhanwar Lal Gurjar, and special guests Dr. Shyam S. Singhvi, Founder of Saral Blood Bank, and Dr. Nivedita, by offering floral tributes and lighting lamps before the idol of Goddess Saraswati.

The day-long camp witnessed the donation of 55 units of blood, while more than 250 volunteers pledged to donate blood in the future whenever required. Notably, girl students came forward in large numbers, setting an inspiring example in the blood donation drive.

The Saral Blood Bank team, including Dr. R. S. Tripathi, Dr. N. Mogra, Yogeshwar Singh, Tapan Jain, and Dipika, provided their services during the camp.
Faculty members and doctors Dr. Devendra Singh Rao, Dr. Shailendra Mehta, Dr. Nivedita, Manoj Rayal, Dr. Himmat Singh Chundawat, Dr. Amit Dave, Dr. Vinod Nair, and Dr. Kartik Sukhwal also actively contributed to the successful organisation of the camp.

The event highlighted social responsibility and community service, reinforcing the message of voluntary blood donation for saving lives.
