New Delhi — The 9th New Delhi Film Festival – NDFF 2026, organized under the flagship of the Jaipur International Film Festival Trust, proudly announces its Second List of Official Nominations for the 2026 edition. The festival will be held from 13–15 February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The second list reflects NDFF’s growing global reach and curatorial depth. For this list, the festival received 350 submissions from 36 countries, from which 67 films and 2 screenplays representing 20 countries have been officially nominated in competition categories.
Earlier, the First List of Nominations, released on 18 November 2025, featured 149 films and 12 screenplays from 36 countries, selected from 807 submissions across 65 countries. The Third and Final List of Nominations will be announced on 18 January 2026.
The second list of NDFF 2026 nominations includes 9 Feature Fiction films, 10 Documentary Features, 36 Short Fiction films, 7 Documentary Shorts, 3 Web Series, 1 Music/Song/Album, 1 Ad Film, 4 Student Films, and 2 Screenplays. Of the total nominations, 34 entries are from India, while 35 entries represent filmmakers from abroad, reflecting a strong balance between national and international participation.
With nominations spanning Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and the Middle East, NDFF 2026 continues to strengthen its position as a truly international platform for independent and impactful cinema.
Feature & Documentary Highlights
The second list features an impressive lineup of feature fiction and documentary feature films by acclaimed filmmakers from countries including India, United States, United Kingdom, Italy, Iran, Japan, Mexico, Belgium, Chile, Croatia, Panama, and more. These films explore diverse themes such as identity, social change, technological evolution, human resilience, cultural memory, music, and artistic freedom.
Together, these selections underline NDFF’s core commitment to powerful storytelling, cultural diversity, cinematic innovation, and artistic excellence.
The second list of NDFF 2026 nominations adds a strong and diverse slate of feature fiction and documentary feature films from across the globe. The Feature Fiction category includes notable titles such as Parallel Lines (Panama), Check In Cheque Out (India), Chikeezing (India), 260 Days (Croatia), The Red Mask (USA), Molotov: Divine Golden Armour (India–Malaysia–UK), Debt to the Dead (Mexico), Mard-e-Aram (Calm Man) (Iran), and Eugene O’Neill’s – The First Man (UK). The Documentary Feature selections showcase compelling real-life narratives through films like An Ordinary Couple 2.0 and Liz Lira: La Reina de Bolivia (USA), Mr. Yellow Hip Hop (Japan), The Joy of Curiosity (USA), Those Who Watch Over (Belgium), Federico Faggin – The Man Who Saw the Future, Skates and Steel and Cartapesta, Carnival of Fano – The Movie (Italy), Dream Factory (India), and Panico / Kinda Freaks (Chile), collectively highlighting NDFF’s emphasis on powerful storytelling, cultural depth, and international cinematic excellence.
