Environmental Awareness Seminar Held at Shri Pitambara Ashram
Environmental Expert Sandeep Soni Delivers Inspiring Lecture :Calls for Strengthening Fundamental Factors for Nature Conservation
Banswara: Renowned environmentalist and Miyawaki Forest Development Technique expert Mr. Sandeep Soni emphasized that the conservation and enrichment of traditional forests must be the highest priority in the present times. He stressed that environmental protection becomes truly effective only when its basic foundational factors are strengthened at the grassroots level.
Mr. Soni was speaking at an Environmental Awareness Seminar organized at Shri Pitambara Ashram under the joint aegis of Natvaranandi Welfare Foundation and Gayatri Mandal, Banswara. During his address, he shared valuable insights related to environmental protection, enrichment, and public awareness, urging participants to adopt these principles in daily life.
The seminar was presided over by Gayatri Mandal Patron and Shri Bada Ramdwara saint, Sant Shri Ramprakash Ramsnehi Maharaj, and commenced with the worship of Hanuman Shri Vigrah.
Focus on Water Conservation and Plastic Reuse
Key discussions during the seminar revolved around water conservation in Banswara district, plastic reuse, and multi-dimensional awareness strategies for environmental protection and development. It was collectively resolved to undertake future initiatives involving scientifically planned plantation drives, water conservation, and adherence to environmental standards through coordinated efforts.
Practice Nature Worship in Daily Life
In his presidential address, Sant Shri Ramprakash Ramsnehi Maharaj appealed to all to awaken environmental consciousness and actively engage in practical efforts. He emphasized the judicious use of natural resources, disaster prevention, experiencing nature’s intrinsic joy, and plantation activities, urging everyone to begin such initiatives at the individual level by adopting exemplary conduct for environmental protection and sustainable development.
Small Efforts Can Bring Big Change
In his detailed lecture, Sandeep Soni highlighted that small, consistent efforts can lead to significant environmental transformation. He spoke on reducing plastic dependency, conserving water, adopting the Japanese Miyawaki afforestation method developed by Dr. Akira Miyawaki, prioritizing natural ecosystems, maximizing the use of local plant species, and strengthening environmental management through forest development, nurturing, and protection.

On this occasion, Sant Shri Ramprakash Ramsnehi Maharaj and keynote speaker Sandeep Soni were welcomed by Natvaranandi Welfare Foundation Patron Rajendra Prasad Dwivedi, President Mahendra Trivedi, and Secretary Rajneesh Gupta. ISKCON representative Sadhika Mrs. Rachna Arun Vyas honored Sant Shri Ramprakash Ji with a traditional shawl and presented a copy of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.
For his outstanding contribution to environmental activities and public awareness, Sandeep Soni was felicitated by Gayatri Mandal with a shawl by Vice President Animesh Purohit, Treasurer Anant Joshi, Executive Members Kamalkant Bhatt and Arun Vyas, along with Pt. Madhusudan Vyas, Co-convener of Shri Pitambara Parishad, and Ashram Manager Chandresh Vyas.
Several dignitaries including Pt. Narharikant R. Bhatt, Pt. Mahendra Pathak, Anil Narhari H. Bhatt, Anil Pandya, Lalit Acharya, Pankaj Narayan Vaishnav, and representatives of the Foundation such as Dr. Ashwin Patidar, Saurabh Rawal, Kalu Ram Rathore, and Manish Sharma shared their views.
The seminar proceedings were conducted by Saurabh Rawal, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Mahendra Trivedi and Anant Joshi.
