St. Anthony’s Senior Secondary School Concludes Junior Annual Sports Day
Udaipur. The Junior Annual Sports Day of St. Anthony’s Senior Secondary School, located at Balicha, was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Media In-charge Vikas Sahu informed that students from Nursery to Class V actively participated in the sports meet, showcasing high spirits and sportsmanship.
Students securing first, second, and third positions were awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals by the distinguished guests. The chief guest of the grand समारोह was Mr. Sudhir Bakshi, President, Olympic Association Udaipur and Secretary, Badminton Association Udaipur. Mr. Vijay Sanchihar, former national handball and volleyball player and former chief referee, Udaipur, was present as a special guest.
The event was further graced by Ms. Reza Sheikh, Rajasthan Women’s Cricket Team (Under-19/Under-23) player, Ms. Sonal Kalal, India senior women’s cricket player, and Dr. Father Babu, Parish Priest, Our Lady of Fatima Cathedral, Udaipur, as guests of honour. The programme was presided over by School Principal William D’Souza.
A total of 100 events, including various races, item races, PT displays, and dance performances, were organized during the sports day. In all, 409 medals were won by the students.
Addressing the gathering, the guests emphasized that such events are essential for the overall development of children, as they promote both physical fitness and mental growth. While awarding medals, the guests interacted cheerfully with the students and encouraged them by learning about their interests and achievements.
Several talented sportspersons of the school were also felicitated with certificates and prizes for their outstanding performances across different sports disciplines. The programme began with the hoisting of the sports flag by the chief guests, officially declaring the commencement of the sports day.
The event was smoothly conducted by Alpa Sharma and Deepti Joshi, and concluded on a joyful and energetic note.
