Banswara, Padma Shri awardee and All India Vice President of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, Ms. Nivedita Raghunath Bhide, was accorded a grand welcome and felicitation at a ceremony organised by Gayatri Mandal at Shri Pitambara Ashram on Sunday night.
Presided over by saint Shri Ramprakash Ramsnehi Maharaj of Shri Bada Ramdwara, the programme witnessed the presence of several senior representatives of Vivekananda Kendra and local dignitaries. Ms. Bhide was honoured with a traditional shawl and uparna by office-bearers and members of Gayatri Mandal.
In her address, Ms. Nivedita Bhide emphasised the protection and preservation of Sanatan traditions, highlighting the supreme importance of culture and values in nation-building. She called upon society, especially the youth, to actively participate in cultural awakening, spiritual practices and national service. She underlined that Sanatan Dharma is inclusive, rooted in universal welfare, and connects humanity with nature and the Supreme Being.
She appreciated the spiritual and cultural initiatives of Gayatri Mandal and Pitambara Ashram, stating that such efforts are vital for contemporary society. Stressing exemplary conduct, she urged the younger generation to understand and imbibe the core philosophy of Indian spiritual traditions.
The ceremony concluded with blessings, a vote of thanks, and Ms. Bhide’s visit to the temple premises for darshan and interaction with the ashram community.
