Kataria to Inaugurate Flower Show at Fatehsagar Lake Embankment
Udaipur: As part of the Shilpgram Utsav celebrations, the district administration and Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) will organise a grand flower exhibition at the Fatehsagar Lake embankment from December 24 to January 4, as done every year.
District Collector Namit Mehta informed that the exhibition will be inaugurated on December 24 at 4:00 pm by the Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, in the presence of public representatives and dignitaries.
UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain stated that leading industrial and business organisations of Udaipur, including Hindustan Zinc Ltd., Wonder Cement, Mirage Group, GBH American Hospital, Mankind Pharma, Secure Meters, Garden Corner & Botanical Café, Wooden Street, Aravali Group and others, along with the Horticulture Department and Municipal Corporation, will participate in the exhibition.
The flower show will display a wide variety of plants such as poinsettia, chrysanthemum, grafted exotic cacti, petunia, dianthus, pansy, miniature roses, lily, anthurium, succulents, ornamental cabbage, impatiens, gerbera, hybrid hibiscus and bonsai plants. Major attractions will include themed floral installations like a decorative dome, butterfly, peacock, deer and other floral sculptures, along with selfie points.
The Fatehsagar embankment will be illuminated with colourful lighting, and an open stage with a sound system will be set up to provide a platform for artists to showcase their talent, making the exhibition a vibrant attraction for residents and tourists alike.
