Conference of Over 500 Radiologists Concludes in Udaipur
Udaipur, he 32nd Annual Conference of the Rajasthan Chapter of the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA) was successfully held in Udaipur on December 20 and 21. Around 500 radiologists and resident doctors from across the country participated, deliberating on the evolving and crucial role of radiology in quick and accurate disease diagnosis.
Organising Chairman Dr. Anand Gupta said that the first day featured multiple scientific sessions. Experts discussed the role of radiology in chest-related diseases, followed by sessions on complex neurological disorders. A mega quiz, non-vascular workshops, simulator-based demonstrations with hands-on training, and DICOM-based case discussions were also organised, providing valuable practical exposure to participants.
IRIA Rajasthan Chapter President Dr. Paresh Sukhani and Secretary Dr. Kushal Gehlot informed that a gala dinner and cultural programme by residents were held in the evening, during which winners of quiz, paper and poster presentations were awarded.
On the second day, sessions focused on abdominal, musculoskeletal and women-related diseases. A panel discussion on the theme “Changing Trends in Radiology Education and Practices” generated insightful dialogue among experts. Specialised musculoskeletal and fetal imaging workshops were also conducted.
The conference concluded with resident paper and poster presentations, reaffirming that advances in radiology enable faster diagnosis and significantly improve patient treatment outcomes.
