Sports Play a Key Role in Fostering Discipline, Teamwork and Nation-Building Spirit: Prof. Bhagwati Prasad

Udaipur. The Inter-Collegiate Handball Tournament (Men’s and Women’s categories) of Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU) was successfully organised by Prem Shanti Niketan T.T. College, Paneriyon Ki Madri. Teams from all constituent and affiliated colleges of the university participated enthusiastically in the competition.

The tournament was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Prof. B. P. Saraswat, Vice-Chancellor of Mohanlal Sukhadia University. In his address, he highlighted the importance of women empowerment and motivated the players to excel in sports. He emphasised that sports not only promote physical fitness but also play a vital role in instilling discipline, teamwork and a spirit of nation-building among the youth.

The keynote address was delivered by RSS Department Pracharak Dhanraj, who spoke in detail on nation-building and the five key transformations envisioned during the Sangh’s centenary year. Distinguished guests included Prof. Anand Paliwal (Dean, Faculty of Law), Virendra Singh (State Organising Secretary, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad), Bharat Vyas (Executive President, Akhil Bharatiya Karmachari Mahasangh), Dr. Bhimraj Patel, Dr. Hemraj Chaudhary, Dr. Harish Kapasya, and international handball player Virendra.

During the event, RSS literature was also distributed among players and attendees, reinforcing the message of patriotism and cultural values. The programme was presided over by College Director Dr. Samarth Nagauri, while Principal Ritu Gurjar presented the vote of thanks.

Organising Secretary Ravish Nagauri informed that in the men’s category, Rana Pratap College, Bhinder emerged winners against Suyash College, Rashmi, while Aishwarya College, Udaipur defeated the College of Arts. In the women’s category, M.P.P.G. College, Chittorgarh, the College of Arts (Sukhadia University), and Sujas T.T. College secured top positions.
