A Vibrant World of Flowers to Bloom on Fateh Sagar Embankment from Today; Grand Flower Show to Be Inaugurated by Punjab Governor Shri Kataria

Udaipur. From Wednesday onwards, the embankment of the world-famous Fateh Sagar Lake will witness a breathtaking blend of nature, beauty, and creativity. A grand Flower Show will be inaugurated at 4 pm by the Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria. The exhibition will remain a major attraction for city residents and tourists alike for the next ten days.

The flower show will feature rare, exotic, and diverse varieties of flowers from India and abroad. Artistic floral designs, theme-based decorations, eye-catching structures, enchanting lighting arrangements, and specially created selfie points will captivate visitors. Set against the scenic backdrop of Fateh Sagar Lake, the floral displays promise a visually delightful and memorable experience for tourists and locals.

On Tuesday, ahead of the inauguration, District Collector Namit Mehta visited the Fateh Sagar embankment along with officials of the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) to conduct a detailed inspection of the preparations. He reviewed arrangements related to the exhibition venue, floral decorations, security, lighting, traffic management, and other facilities, and issued necessary instructions to the concerned officials.

Collector Mehta also closely examined the floral exhibits being set up under CSR initiatives by various private companies and institutions, including their designs and decorative themes. He shared valuable suggestions to make the event more attractive and well-organised.

During the inspection, Collector Mehta stated that the district administration aims to develop the Flower Show at Fateh Sagar embankment into a prominent and prestigious event in Udaipur’s tourism calendar, on the lines of the Shilpgram Festival. He noted that this initiative would not only strengthen the city’s identity but also provide enhanced opportunities for recreation, enjoyment, and celebration for domestic and international tourists visiting Udaipur.

UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain, along with other officials from the district administration and UDA, was present during the inspection.
