Udaipur: The three-month-long MP Sports Festival will conclude today with a grand closing ceremony. As a highlight of the finale, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will connect via video conference and interact live with athletes from across the country who took part in the festival. Sporting events continued across multiple city grounds on Wednesday ahead of the finale.

Under the MP Sports Festival, city playgrounds witnessed a vibrant mix of competitions—cricket, volleyball, football, tug of war, spoon race, 50 and 100 metre sprints, kabaddi, and other disciplines. Across 11 sports, more than 2,400 male and female participants competed. Member of Parliament Mannalal Rawat, along with several public representatives, remained present to encourage the athletes.
MP Office Sports Coordinator Manoj Joshi informed that in team events, winning teams will receive ₹11,150 and runners-up ₹5,150 in cash prizes. In individual events, winners will be awarded ₹2,150 and runners-up ₹1,150, along with certificates of merit. The festival was conducted across eight Assembly constituencies of the Udaipur Lok Sabha over three months. In the first phase, over 200,000 participants took part; the second phase at the mandal level saw more than 40,000 participants; and the four-day Lok Sabha–level competition featured over 3,500 athletes.
The concluding ceremony will be held on December 25 at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium of the Municipal Corporation, coinciding with the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria will attend as the chief guest. Ministers Babulal Kharadi and Hemant Meena will be present as special guests.
