Udaipur, An important meeting of the Udaipur Rural District Congress Committee was held today at the party office in Surajpole to review the ongoing SIR (Special Intensive Revision) process being conducted by the Rajasthan Election Department. The meeting focused on the newly released draft voter list and the next phase of the SIR process, along with preparations for the upcoming public awareness campaign.
District Congress spokesperson Dr. Sanjeev Rajpurohit informed that the meeting was chaired by Udaipur Rural District Congress President Raghuveer Singh Meena. Block presidents, along with appointed in-charges and co–in-charges of the SIR process, participated in an in-depth review of the work done so far regarding the Absentee, Shifted and Deceased (ASD) voters’ list, as well as the newly issued draft voter list.
Addressing the gathering, Raghuveer Singh Meena directed all block presidents to examine the ASD list up to the booth level and immediately inform the District Congress Committee if any discrepancies or shortcomings are found, so that timely coordination with the Election Department can be ensured for necessary corrections. He also instructed them to share the new draft list with Booth Level Agents (BLAs) and verify, booth-wise, whether the names of all genuine voters have been correctly included.
Meena emphasized that the verification process must be completed within the timeframe prescribed by the Election Department. He stressed that no eligible voter should be left out of the new draft list and no bogus voter should find a place in it. Considering the seriousness of the matter, he asked all block presidents, in-charges and co–in-charges to submit daily progress reports to the District Congress Office.
The meeting also witnessed detailed discussions on the public awareness campaign scheduled to begin from December 27, 2025, as per PCC directions. Responsibilities were assigned to party office-bearers to ensure the campaign’s effective implementation.
