###Udaipur Witnesses Historic First: Nine-Day Shri Mahalakshmi Koti Kumkumarchan Yagya Mahotsav Begins with Grandeur

Udaipur: For the first time in the history of Udaipur, a grand and historic religious congregation is set to unfold on the sacred land of Mewar. From Sunday, a nine-day Shri Mahalakshmi Koti Kumkumarchan Sadhana, Puja and Yagya Mahotsav will commence amid the resonating sounds of drums, nagadas and conch shells. The divine and magnificent event is being organized under the spiritual guidance of Jagadguru Shri Vasant Vijayanand Giri Ji Maharaj, Peethadhishwar of Krishnagiri Teerth Peeth.

The entire venue near Meera Nagar, close to Magnus Hospital, has been beautifully transformed to resemble a celestial abode. According to the organizing committee, the inaugural ceremony will be held on Sunday, December 28 at 11:00 AM, with traditional rituals, worship of deities and the formal commencement of sadhana and tapasya, accompanied by auspicious music and chants.

A Unique and Unparalleled Mahayagya

From 2:00 PM daily, the nine-day Shri Mahalakshmi Mahayagya will be conducted in the divine presence of Jagadguru Ji. A total of 135 learned scholars from Kashi will perform the sacred rituals through 21 fire altars, making it a rare and extraordinary yagya of global significance.

Thousands of kilograms of pure sandalwood, indigenous cow ghee, dry fruits, natural herbs and fragrant sacred materials will be offered daily. Unlike conventional yajnas, this Mahayagya will witness the daily use of massive quantities of offerings to consecrate Mahalakshmi prosperity kalashas. Through one crore kumkum archana offerings, the Mahalakshmi Samriddhi Kalash will be spiritually empowered. Male participants will attend in white kurta-pajama, while women will wear red sarees.

Shiv Mahapuran Katha Every Evening

From 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Jagadguru Shri Vasant Vijayanand Giri Ji Maharaj will narrate the divine glory of Lord Eklingnath, the revered deity of Mewar, along with the Shiv Mahapuran Katha. Additionally, a daily community feast (Bhandara) will be organized for devotees from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM throughout the festival.

Invitation Offered at the Feet of Eklingnath Ji

On Saturday evening, Jagadguru Ji visited the revered shrine of Shri Eklingnath Ji, offering the invitation letter of the Mahotsav at the divine feet of the deity and seeking blessings for the commencement of the Yagya and Shiv Mahapuran Katha. The ritual worship and Maha Aarti were performed with Vedic chants, drawing a large gathering of devotees at the temple premises.

Divine Jhankis to Offer a Glimpse of Devalok

The main discourse pandal will feature mesmerizing tableaux and grand idols of various deities, offering devotees a divine glimpse of Devalok. These idols have been specially brought from Krishnagiri Maa Padmavati Shaktipeeth, Tamil Nadu, and will remain installed for the entire duration of the Yagya. A massive statue of Maharana Pratap will also be a major attraction, along with several other spiritual and cultural highlights.

Jagadguru Ji’s Guidance to Representatives of All Communities

A meeting of representatives from various social communities of Mewar was held at the Mahotsav venue on Friday night. Addressing the gathering, Jagadguru Shri Vasant Vijayanand Giri Ji Maharaj emphasized collective participation and service, stating that a “river of dharma has arrived in Udaipur” and it is the responsibility of society to partake in and nurture it.

He shared profound insights on life, energy, mindset and spirituality, stressing values such as forgiveness, positivity, honesty, trust and self-reflection. Jagadguru Ji urged representatives to actively invite people from all sections of society to participate in the Mahalakshmi Koti Kumkumarchan Yagya, Shiv Mahapuran Katha and spiritual sadhana, highlighting that those blessed with good fortune will truly benefit from this divine Mahotsav.

A large number of representatives from different communities across the Mewar region were present, marking the event as a truly inclusive and historic spiritual congregation for Udaipur.
