Foreign Tourists Spellbound by Shilpgram Festival
Say the management and arrangements of the festival are “praiseworthy and superb”
Udaipur: The vibrant colors, rich folk culture, and flawless organization of the Shilpgram Festival, organized by the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), Udaipur, have not only captivated Indian visitors but have also left foreign tourists truly mesmerized.
Three young women from California, USA — Jerish, Sering, and April — visited the festival on Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the venue. While strolling through the stalls, they were amazed by the village-like setting of Shilpgram. Initially believing it to be an actual village, they were pleasantly surprised to learn that the entire complex has been artistically developed to resemble a traditional rural settlement.
Expressing her astonishment, Jerish said,
“We were surprised to know that Shilpgram has been developed here like a village. We really thought it was a real village!”
Sharing her experience of the festival, her friend Sering remarked,
“Oh, very nice! We enjoyed seeing this festival very much.”
The trio visited almost all the stalls, closely observed the handicraft products, and interacted with artisans to understand the process behind their creation. Appreciating the craftsmanship, April said,
“Every product at every stall is attractive and excellent.”
Impressed by the scale and smooth execution of the event, the foreign visitors were all praise for the organizers. Jerish and April jointly expressed,
“The management and arrangement of this festival are flawless, praiseworthy, and superb.”
Adding to the joyful atmosphere, local young women visiting the fair eagerly interacted with the foreign tourists, clicked photographs with them, and shared moments of happiness, reflecting the festival’s spirit of cultural exchange and global harmony.
The Shilpgram Festival continues to emerge as a global attraction, showcasing India’s folk traditions, craftsmanship, and hospitality to visitors from across the world.
