129th Episode of Mann Ki Baat Programme

The world has hopes from India due to our youthful power
The country is ready to move forward with new resolutions in the year 2026

‘Mann Ki Baat’ is an opportunity to take pride in the country’s achievements
- Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Jaipur. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the countrymen on Sunday in the 129th episode of the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme. This was the final episode of the programme in the year 2025. In his address, the Prime Minister mentioned the achievements and successes the country attained in various fields during 2025, expressing hope that the year 2026 will prove to be an important milestone in realising the resolve for a developed India. Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma listened to the Mann Ki Baat programme along with the public at the Chief Minister's residence.  

 

The Prime Minister said in his address that the country achieved significant accomplishments in fields including space, science, technology, sports, and environment in the year 2025. He said that the organisation of the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj and the historic flag hoisting at the Ayodhya temple filled every Indian with pride. The country is ready to move forward with new hopes and resolutions in 2026.  

 

The Prime Minister said that due to our youthful power, the entire world has high expectations from India. The youth are making important contributions to nation-building through their hard work, dedication, and creative suggestions. He said that next year, on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026 will be organised, which will be an important platform for the youth to share their suggestions. Shri Modi discussed the rapid changes coming into people's lives in the technological era and spoke about the enthusiastic participation of youth in the Smart India Hackathon-2025. Along with this, he also mentioned the Geetanjali IISc programme to be held at the Indian Institute of Science. The Prime Minister discussed in the programme the resolution of electricity problems through solar energy in Manipur, handicraft products made from bamboo, and women becoming self-reliant through flower cultivation. He also mentioned the ancient cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir and the Kutch Rann Utsav.  

 

The Prime Minister said that next month, the country is going to celebrate its 77th Republic Day. Many people made important contributions to the country's freedom, but they did not receive the respect they deserved. Parvati Giri from Odisha was one such freedom fighter, who participated in the freedom movement and also served society by establishing orphanages.  

 

Shri Modi spoke about the growing promotion of Indian languages across the country and the world, saying that the start of Kannada Pathshala by Kannada families in Dubai and the initiation of Tamil Day celebrations in schools in Fiji are important steps in this direction. He said that in the country too, through events like Kashi Tamil Sangamam, children from Hindi-speaking states are being taught other languages, due to which children from Uttar Pradesh are now able to speak Tamil easily.  

 

Shri Modi expressed concern over antibiotics becoming ineffective against diseases like pneumonia and advised avoiding their use without medical consultation. At the same time, he also emphasised making exercise a mandatory part of daily routine to stay healthy.  

 

Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma said on this occasion that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Rajasthan along with the entire country has established new dimensions of success in various fields in the year 2025. He said that the Prime Minister shares the journey of the country's progress with us through the Mann Ki Baat programme. This programme is an opportunity to take pride in the country's achievements, which inspires us to keep moving forward continuously.  

 

During this, MLA Dr. Gopal Sharma, former MLA Shri Ram Lal Sharma, along with various public representatives and a large number of common people were present.
