Ejaz Ahmed’s Film “Aaj Ke Sholay” Currently Being Shot in Mumbai
Mumbai: Released in 1975, Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra starrer Sholay remains a cult classic and continues to be popular even after 50 years. Its dialogues are still remembered and quoted by audiences across generations. Now, a new Bollywood film is in the making which is not directly connected to Sholay, but presents an imaginative take on what could have happened after the events of the iconic film.
Under the banner of 7 Heaven Entertainment, director Ejaz Ahmed’s upcoming film “Aaj Ke Sholay” is currently being shot at Mud Island in Mumbai. The film aims to depict a fictional post-Sholay narrative on screen.
Director Ejaz Ahmed revealed that Faiyyaz Ali Khan has been cast in the lead role. Known for his strong acting skills, Faiyyaz Ali Khan is the elder son of Bollywood actor Ali Khan, and Aaj Ke Sholay marks his debut film. Through this project, Ejaz Ahmed is launching him in Bollywood.
Aaj Ke Sholay is an action-comedy film designed especially for the younger generation, featuring fun, humor, light-hearted entertainment, and high-energy music. The film’s shooting has already begun in Mumbai. Ejaz Ahmed has earlier directed films such as “Life Ki Aisi Ki Taisi,” which was based on the theme of demonetization.
The film features an ensemble cast including Saksham Bijlani, Adnan Sheikh, Faiyyaz Ali Khan, Sargam Sharma, Garima Dixit, Raza Murad, Sunil Pal, Ejaz Ahmed, Shahdab Jakati, Ehsaan Qureshi, Ali Khan, Vicky Chaddha, Tahir Kamal Khan, Shahdab Rahbar Khan, Anjana Nathan, Seeta Verma, and several others in prominent roles.
The film’s public relations and promotion are being handled by Sanjay Bhushan Patiala.
