A Stronger Farm Economy with Higher Farmer Incomes — Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma

###Preparations Reviewed for Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet-2026

Jaipur,  Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma stated that the State Government is continuously working to strengthen Rajasthan’s agricultural economy and enhance farm productivity. He emphasized that the goal is to empower farmers through modern technology and smart farming practices, enabling them to emerge as leaders in agricultural exports. With this vision, the State will host the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet-2026 (GRAM) for farmers in the coming year. The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure comprehensive preparations for the successful organization of the event.

Reviewing the preparations at the Chief Minister’s Office, Shri Sharma said that the objective of GRAM-2026 is to foster innovation, introduce modern agricultural technologies, encourage investment, and create new milestones in the agri sector. He added that the event will enable farmers in Rajasthan to benefit from the experience and expertise of national and international farmers and agri specialists.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister instructed officials to work with complete coordination across all concerned departments — including Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Cooperation, and Irrigation — for smooth execution of the event. A departmental cluster will be formed, and progress will be reviewed at the Secretary level. He also directed that farmers performing outstanding work in the agriculture sector must be felicitated during the event, and every activity of the program should be designed keeping farmer needs as the top priority.

Shri Sharma further said that leading agricultural experts, scientists, and technologists working in areas such as advanced farming, water management, crop diversification, and agri-innovation across the world should be invited to participate.

Over 50,000 Farmers to Participate in GRAM-2026

The Chief Minister informed that the three-day state-level event will witness participation from more than 50,000 farmers. He noted that GRAM-2026 will provide Rajasthan’s agricultural strengths with a global platform while promoting research, innovation, entrepreneurship, agro-processing, and agri-marketing. He directed officials to ensure widespread outreach and communication so that information about the event and related schemes reaches farmers at the grassroots level.

Knowledge Sharing Among Global Farmers and Agri-Entrepreneurs

It was informed in the meeting that the Agritech Meet will feature agriculture and livestock exhibitions, B2G and B2B meetings, farmer-scientist interactions, buyer-seller meets, technical sessions, and workshops. Through these platforms, farmers and agri-entrepreneurs from India and abroad will share insights on smart farming, marketing, processing, and emerging technologies.

Key focus areas will include advanced farming technologies, drone applications in agriculture, innovative farm machinery, water management systems, and agricultural exports.

The meeting also discussed the utilization of 500-metric-ton capacity warehouses constructed under the global food storage initiative in the cooperative sector. Senior officials from the concerned departments were present during the review meeting.
