###Supreme Court Verdict a Landmark Step Towards Environmental Protection
Udaipur |Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Social Media Coordinator Dr. Sanjeev Rajpurohit has described the recent decisions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court as a significant victory for the people and for environmental justice. He stated that the Supreme Court’s move to stay the new definition of the Aravalli mountain range is a clear triumph of truth and public interest.
Dr. Rajpurohit said that the new definition proposed by the BJP-led government posed a serious threat to the protection of the Aravalli range, which is one of the country’s most sensitive and vital ecological zones. In this context, the Supreme Court’s intervention has emerged as a crucial step towards safeguarding the environment.
He further noted that the two important decisions delivered by the Supreme Court today have provided great relief to the people of the country and have strengthened public faith in the judiciary. According to him, through these rulings, the apex court has sent a clear and strong message that no compromise will be allowed on the Aravalli range, environmental protection, or the rights of affected citizens.
Expressing confidence in the judicial process, Dr. Rajpurohit said that there is complete faith that the final verdict expected in January will also be in favour of public sentiment and environmental conservation. He added that if required, the constitutional right to struggle and democratic protest—granted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar through the Constitution—will always remain an option.
“We will stand firmly with public sentiment and fight every battle for the people under the leadership of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi,” he asserted.
The statement underlines the Congress party’s resolve to continue its fight for environmental protection and people’s rights, viewing the Supreme Court’s verdict as a decisive moment in the ongoing struggle to preserve the Aravalli ecosystem.
