Udaipur Co-Chairman of the DISHA Committee, Dungarpur, and Member of Parliament Dr. Mannalal Rawat has leveled serious allegations against BAP MP Rajkumar Roat and the Aspur MLA, stating that during the DISHA meeting in Dungarpur, they resorted to objectionable remarks, attempts of physical intimidation, death threats, and irresponsible political behavior.

MP Rawat alleged that the BAP leaders showed no concern for the development of Dungarpur or tribal welfare, and instead made frivolous comments on government initiatives and development camps being organized by the state government. He further stated that highly derogatory remarks were made against Anganwadi workers, amounting to their public insult.

Disregard for DISHA Guidelines

Dr. Rawat said that he strongly objected to the conduct of the BAP MP and MLA during the meeting and urged that discussions be confined strictly to the agenda prescribed by the Government of India under DISHA guidelines. However, upon being challenged, the BAP leaders allegedly walked out of the meeting, hurled abuses, and issued threats.

He stated that from the very beginning of the meeting, MP Rajkumar Roat indulged in political rhetoric and baseless criticism, openly violating the DISHA meeting protocols, which clearly outline 101 agenda points focused on public welfare, planning, and monitoring of Central government schemes.

Targeting Public Welfare Camps

MP Rawat highlighted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, public grievance redressal camps are being organized to resolve grassroots-level issues in villages. However, instead of appreciating these efforts, Rajkumar Roat made irrelevant and derogatory comments questioning the expenditure on tents and food arrangements—issues that were not part of the meeting agenda and unbecoming of an elected representative.

“Dungarpur Is Also Part of Developed India”

Dr. Rawat asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ includes Dungarpur as well.
“Should Dungarpur remain poor forever? Should it only witness migration? We want development, employment opportunities, and skill development in Dungarpur,” he said, accusing Rajkumar Roat of practicing divisive and separatist politics instead of constructive governance.

Insult to Anganwadi Workers

MP Rawat strongly condemned the remarks made by Rajkumar Roat alleging that Anganwadi workers are corrupt and sell ration supplies in Gujarat, stating that such comments insult the dignity of all Anganwadi sisters who work tirelessly for child and maternal welfare.

Demand for Action

He added that due to his intervention, the meeting was partially redirected towards issues of development and public welfare. At the conclusion of the meeting, MP Rawat asked the District Collector whether FIRs would be registered against those issuing threats, or if he should escalate the matter directly to the Chief Minister.

The statement reflects growing political tension in the region, with MP Mannalal Rawat emphasizing that development, unity, and constitutional governance must take precedence over divisive politics.
