The Spiritual Merit of Circumambulating the Entire Universe Is Attained by Circumambulating Lord Eklingnath Alone — Jagadguru Vasant Vijayanand Giri Ji Maharaj

Thousands of devotees received Guru Diksha from Jagadguru Shri Vasant Vijayanand Giri Ji Maharaj

Udaipur. For the first time in the history of Udaipur, thousands of devotees gathered together to welcome the New Year with grand celebrations rooted in Sanatani traditions and deep spiritual faith. This extraordinary scene was witnessed on the night of December 31 at the vast grounds of Meera Nagar, during the ongoing **Shri Mahalaxmi Koti Kumkumarchan Yagya Puja Sadhana Mahamahotsav**, held under the divine guidance of **Krishnagiri Peethadhishwar Jagadguru Pujyapad Shri Vasant Vijayanand Giri Ji Maharaj**.

According to Mahotsav Organizing Committee President **Nanalal Baya** and General Secretary **Devendra Mehta**, following daily spiritual practices and the Mahalaxmi Yagya, an overwhelming number of devotees gathered to listen to the **Eklingji Shiva Purana Katha** being narrated by Jagadguru Shri Vasant Vijayanand Giri Ji Maharaj. At the beginning of the discourse, Gurudev elaborately narrated the life account of the son of Sage Mridandi, focusing on the final sixteenth year of his life. He also explained in detail the life stories and roles of various mythological figures.

Gurudev stated that **the spiritual merit equivalent to circumambulating the entire universe, including the seven seas, is attained simply by circumambulating Lord Eklingnath**. He explained that all deities mentioned in the Puranas remain present around Lord Eklingnath, as they exist in stone form surrounding Him. This is the reason why, across present-day Rajasthan, temples of various deities are found alongside the universally revered Lord Eklingji.

Jagadguru Pujyapad Shri Vasant Vijayanand Giri Ji Maharaj had the devotees present in the pandal prepare a **Shiv Kripa Dori** by chanting sacred mantras 27 times. This sacred thread is believed to bestow complete spiritual fulfillment and relief from all forms of suffering. Along with this, Gurudev bestowed **Guru Diksha** upon thousands of devotees amid sacred mantra chanting. The pandal resonated with reverberating chants of **“Maa Padmavati”** and **“Jagadguru Dev Ki Jai.”**

**Devotees Danced Enthusiastically to Lakkha’s Bhajans**

After receiving blessings from Jagadguru Shri Vasant Vijayanand Giri Ji Maharaj, renowned devotional singer **Lakhbir Singh Lakkha** filled the religious festival with his melodious bhajans. Devotees could not resist dancing to every rendition. Lakkha began with the popular bhajan *“Pyara Saja Hai Tera Dwar Bhavani,”* and the devotional fervor continued until the early hours of the night.

A massive crowd of devotees thoroughly enjoyed the performances as Lakhbir Singh Lakkha enthralled them with soulful renditions such as *“Lal Lal Chunri,” “Maiya Ka Chola,” “Kijo Kesari Ke Laal,”* and devotional songs dedicated to **Khatu Shyam**, creating an unforgettable spiritual atmosphere.
