Emphasis on the Upliftment of Tribal Farmers

Udaipur. A joint meeting of the Agriculture Department, Horticulture Department, Soil Testing Laboratory, and Quality Control Laboratory was held at the office of the Joint Director of Agriculture (Extension) under the chairmanship of **Udaipur MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat**.

During the meeting, in-depth discussions were held on the problems faced by farmers from the tribal regions of **Devas–Jhadol and nearby villages**, who are increasingly migrating after abandoning agriculture. Various suggestions were invited to connect farmers with the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments in order to increase their income and improve their standard of living through farming.

Dr. Rawat inspected the **Soil Testing Laboratory**, observing the techniques used for soil sample collection and preparation of soil test reports. He also inspected the **Agri-Clinic Office**.

On the occasion, **Joint Director of Agriculture Sudhir Kumar Verma**, other departmental officials, and **Narayan Singh Chandana** from the Farmers’ Union were present. During the meeting, a proposal was also put forward to establish **regional centers for natural farming and organic farming** to provide training to farmers from tribal areas.
