Shilpgram Festival 2025 Sets Unprecedented Records in Udaipur
Udaipur. The **Shilpgram Festival 2025** has set new benchmarks in multiple ways. This year, not only were all previous ticket sales records broken, but craft sales also reached an all-time high. During the **10-day festival**, which concluded on December 31, **over 188,000 tickets were sold**, and craft sales exceeded **₹6.35 crore**.
**Furqan Khan**, Director of the **Western Region Cultural Centre, Udaipur**, stated on Thursday that when he first assumed the role of director in 2014, the Shilpgram Festival was already in place, and ticket sales in 2013 had been approximately **93,000**. At that time, he had resolved to **double the ticket sales someday**.
In his first year as director in 2014, ticket sales already rose by **30% to just over 1,25,000**. Gradually, sales continued to grow, reaching **around 1,48,000 in 2018**. Although sales had risen from 93,000 to 148,000, the goal of doubling the original number had not yet been achieved.
The years **2024 and 2025** provided another opportunity, and the dream was finally realized. At **Shilpgram Festival 2025**, ticket sales reached **1,88,735**.
Khan expressed his gratitude to the **media, citizens, and tourists of Udaipur** for making this remarkable achievement possible.
