Udaipur: Under the aegis of the National Headquarters of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, New Delhi, the First National Rover–Ranger Jamboree is being organized from January 9 to 13, 2026, at Dudli, Balod District, Chhattisgarh. To participate in this prestigious national-level event, an 18-member contingent from Udaipur district, comprising 16 Rovers and 2 Rover Leaders, has departed for Chhattisgarh.
The Udaipur contingent includes 9 Rovers from Manikyalal Verma Shramjeevi College, led by Rover Leader Dr. Narayan Singh Rao, along with members from the 53rd Rover Uday Open Rover Crew and Headquarters Open Rover Crew, led by Senior Rover Mate Vishal Gupta.
The 18-member district team includes: Shubham Menaria, Prafulla Choubisa, Mukesh Menaria, Prince Jat, Punit Menaria, Bhavesh Udaawat, Praveen Hirawat, Ritik Menaria, Yuvraj Menaria, Divyansh, Brijwani, Mangal Singh Yadav, Virendra Singh Chundawat, Nikhil Sahu, Arya Kumar, Shubham Nama, Kuldeep Vaishnav, along with Dr. Narayan Singh Rao and Vishal Gupta.
District Organization Commissioner (Scouts) Surendra Kumar Pandey informed that nearly 1,000 Rover–Rangers from Rajasthan will participate in the Jamboree. In total, around 18,000 Rover–Rangers from across India and neighboring countries—representing various government and private colleges, universities, and schools—will take part in the event.
The contingent was ceremonially flagged off with best wishes by Dr. Malay Paneri, Dean of Manikyalal Verma Shramjeevi College; Manmohan Swarnkar, C.O. Scouts, Udaipur; Deepak Sharma, Assistant State Organization Commissioner (Scouts); along with the Secretary of the Local Association, Udaipur, Rover Leaders of the Udaipur Open Rover Crew, parents, and local Scouters and Rovers. Traditional hospitality was extended as the team departed amid cheers and encouragement.
Pandey further stated that prior to departure, a three-day district-level Jamboree Preparation Camp was organized at the Divisional Camp Centre, Udaynivas, Udaipur. During this camp, participants were trained and practiced for various competitions and activities to be held at the Jamboree, including camp craft, rangoli, march-past, campfire, skillorama, exhibitions, backwoodsman cooking, cooking without utensils, food plaza, color party, folk songs, folk dances, Global Village Development, Tribal Carnival, science projects, and more.
He also added that under the leadership of State Chief Commissioner Niranjan Arya, and with State Organization Commissioner (Scouts) Puran Singh Shekhawat and State Training Commissioner Bannalal, the Rajasthan State contingent will participate in the Chhattisgarh Jamboree. From the Udaipur Division, District Organization Commissioner Surendra Kumar Pandey will serve as the Divisional Contingent Leader.
