Udaipur | Senior litterateur of Udaipur and co-editor of the nationally published children’s magazine *“Bachchon Ka Desh,”* which has been in continuous publication for the past 26 years, Shri Prakash Tated was honoured with the *‘Bal Sahitya Vibhushan’* award by the Nathdwara-based institution *Sahitya Mandal*.
The Prime Minister of the institution, Shri Shyamprakash Devpura, informed that the award was presented on behalf of the Kanpur-based magazine *“The Underline”* during the *Bhagwati Prasad Devpura Smriti Samaroh–2026*. As part of the honour, Shri Tated was felicitated by the dignitaries with a shawl, uparna, traditional Mewari turban, a cash award, and a citation. The award was conferred in recognition of his creative and editorial contributions to the field of children’s literature.
Congratulating Shri Prakash Tated on this national honour, Professor Vimal Sharma, Media In-charge of the children’s literary institution *Salila*, said that Shri Tated is a retired Principal from the State Education Department and currently serves as the Vice President of Udaipur’s renowned literary organization *Yugdhara*. He has authored more than a dozen books and has made extensive contributions to children’s literature. He writes proficiently in both Hindi and Rajasthani languages, excelling equally in prose and poetry. He is especially acclaimed for his mastery in poetry, short stories, and flash fiction.
In the field of science, Shri Tated emphasizes the practical application of scientific knowledge in everyday life. He also selflessly organizes numerous programs for the upliftment of students and women, directly benefiting society. He has had a long and close association with the Science Committee, Udaipur, and the Anuvrat Vishva Bharati Society, Rajsamand.
