Samajwadi Party Candidate Zara Khan Campaigns Through Pad Yatra

Mumbai: Samajwadi Party candidate Firdos Bano (Zara Khan) is actively campaigning through a pad yatra (foot march) in Ward No. 61 of the Andheri West area. During her door-to-door outreach, she is directly interacting with voters and listening to their concerns.

Firdos Bano (Zara Khan) said that she has been associated with the Samajwadi Party as a grassroots worker for several years and is well aware of the problems faced by residents of Ward 61. However, continuous interaction with people during the campaign has further highlighted the extent to which citizens are deprived of basic civic amenities.

She stated that residents are sharing several long-pending issues, which she considers a priority to resolve after being elected. These include problems related to drinking water supply, sewerage and drainage systems, public toilets, the poor condition of lanes and roads in chawls, waterlogging during the monsoon, and overall cleanliness. Due to the lack of basic facilities, people are forced to struggle on a daily basis.

Party leader Kamlesh Yadav said that after winning the election, their key priorities would include the construction of an adequate number of public toilets in slum areas, renovation of drainage lines, permanent solutions to waterlogging, and resolving drinking water issues to provide relief to residents.

Ward 61 has a significant population of Marathi-speaking residents, North Indians, members of the Muslim community, and voters from the Dalit community.
