Governor, Speaker Discuss Assembly Session Roadmap


Jaipur, Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde was paid a courtesy visit by State Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani at Raj Bhavan, Jaipur, on Friday. The meeting, which lasted for over an hour, focused primarily on the forthcoming session of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, scheduled to commence on January 28.

During the interaction, detailed deliberations were held on the Governor’s address to the Assembly and other procedural and legislative aspects related to the upcoming session. The discussion underscored the importance of coordinated planning to ensure the smooth conduct of Assembly proceedings.

On the occasion, Speaker Devnani extended New Year greetings and best wishes to Governor Bagde and presented him with a flower vase. In return, Governor Bagde felicitated the Speaker with a bouquet and a shawl, conveying his warm wishes for the year 2026.

Speaker Devnani also presented the Governor with the Assembly’s 2026 calendars, specially dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram. Additionally, he gifted a copy of his self-authored book, Sanatan Sanskriti Ki Atal Drishti, which was recently released in New Delhi by Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan. Governor Bagde appreciated both the thematic calendars and the book, commending their cultural and national significance.

The Speaker further informed that Governor Bagde will participate in a reception at the Constitution Club on January 17 for Speakers from various countries visiting Jaipur for the Commonwealth Speakers’ Conference. The Governor has also consented to attend a one-day national seminar on “Sindhi Culture Studies and Traditions,” to be organized by University of Kota in Kota on January 22.
