Udaipur. On the occasion of National Youth Day, various activities were successfully organized at Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Udaipur, a constituent college of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology.
The chief guest of the program, Dr. Mannalal Rawat, Honorable Member of Parliament from Udaipur, while interacting with students, emphasized adopting the famous slogan of Swami Vivekananda—“Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is achieved”—in everyday life. He elaborated on Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy and thoughts, urging students to imbibe the spirit that “I am India” should resonate in the heart of every young individual.
Dr. Rawat highlighted that agriculture students can play a significant role in inspiring society by adopting and promoting Swadeshi. He also stated that Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi considers today’s youth as the “Amrit Peedhi” of the Amrit Kaal of independence, and therefore, young people must reflect this responsibility through their conduct and behavior. Explaining Swami Vivekananda’s spiritual journey in detail, he remarked that the silence of positive individuals is extremely harmful to society, and youth should never hesitate to play an alert and constructive role on every platform.
Before the commencement of the main program, a student rally was organized, which started from the college campus, passed through Surajpol Circle, and concluded at the college’s new auditorium. At the beginning of the program, the chief guest Dr. Mannalal Rawat and the distinguished guest Shri Sunderlal Kataria, Provincial Co-Minister of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, were welcomed by the Dean of the College, Dr. Manoj Kumar Mahla. On this occasion, a request was made to the Honorable MP to facilitate an announcement in the upcoming Union Budget for the establishment of a Central Agricultural University in the tribal-dominated Mewar region, so that the region could benefit from central funding and schemes for comprehensive agricultural development.
Distinguished guest Shri Sunderlal Kataria emphasized character building by adopting Swami Vivekananda’s life and ideals. He explained how Swami Vivekananda won the hearts of the American audience at the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago with his opening words, “Sisters and Brothers of America.” He also elaborated on Swamiji’s time spent with his guru Shri Ramakrishna Paramhans, his spiritual experiences with Goddess Kali, and discussions on spirituality with his friend Maharaja Ajit Singh of Khetri.
