Chitrakoot Nagar Welfare Society Celebrates New Year Gathering with Enthusiasm
Udaipur: The **New Year Gathering and 2026 Calendar Release** organized by **Chitrakoot Nagar Welfare Society** was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Sunday at Suvin Residency, Chitrakoot Nagar. Residents of the colony actively participated in the cordial feast and social gathering, making the event a grand success.
The **chief guest** for the event was **Phool Singh Meena, MLA of Udaipur Rural**, while **BJP Mandal President Mukesh Joshi** attended as a **special guest**. The program commenced with a ceremonial **lighting of the lamp** by the guests.
A key highlight of the event was the **release of the special 2026 calendar**. Chief Guest Phool Singh Meena appreciated the society’s initiative, noting that such events strengthen **community bonding and the spirit of organization**. Special guest Mukesh Joshi also extended his **New Year greetings** to all attendees.
During the program, society member and **former judge Shiv Singh Chauhan** presented two important proposals related to the development of the colony before the MLA. He requested that **local residents be given priority in the use of the community hall**, along with **special fee concessions**. Additionally, he proposed that the **Udaipur Development Authority (UDA)** be entrusted with the proper maintenance of the colony’s parks, considering their current condition.
MLA Phool Singh Meena listened to the proposals attentively and assured the residents that **positive action would be taken**. He emphasized that **prioritizing the welfare of local residents** is a key focus, promising that these initiatives would be implemented at the earliest.
The program was organized by the society’s committee, with **President Tejprakash Sharma, Secretary Surendra Kumar Jain, Treasurer Abhay Singh Chundawat, Coordinator Himmat Singh Rao**, and other executive members contributing significantly.
