Chancellor Emphasises Responsible Use of Technology in Digital Era

###Two-Day International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Begins

Udaipur, . A two-day International Conference on “Artificial Intelligence and Applications” commenced with great enthusiasm at the auditorium of the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, a constituent unit of Rajasthan Vidyapeeth.

Inaugurating the conference, Chancellor Bhanwar Lal Gurjar underlined the transformative power of technology in contemporary life. He remarked that today the entire world has entered the palm of an individual through mobile technology, adding that while technological advancement is inevitable and beneficial, its responsible and ethical use must always be ensured to prevent misuse. His address strongly resonated with the core theme of balancing innovation with social responsibility.

Vice Chancellor Prof. S. S. Sarangdevot, the chief guest, stated that Artificial Intelligence has become an inseparable part of human life in the modern digital age. He highlighted how AI has simplified daily activities while opening new avenues of innovation in education, healthcare, industry, agriculture, and research. Speaking on the growing global impact of AI, he discussed both its challenges and opportunities, motivating researchers and students to pursue quality-driven and innovative research, describing AI as one of the most decisive technologies of the future.

The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Dharam Singh Jat, Professor of Computer Science and UNESCO Chairholder at the Namibia University of Science and Technology. Through practical examples, he explained the expanding global dimensions of Artificial Intelligence and laid special emphasis on the concept of Human-Centric AI, highlighting its potential role in inclusive societal development and the welfare of humanity.

At the outset, Conference Director Prof. Manju Mandot welcomed the dignitaries and outlined the objectives of the conference. She informed that the event aims to familiarise academicians, researchers, students, and industry professionals with emerging AI capabilities, real-world applications, and future prospects. More than 200 national and international participants are taking part in the conference, which will feature five technical sessions.

Book Released

During the conference, the dignitaries also released the book “Cloud Computing: Concept and Application”, authored by Prof. Manju Mandot.

The programme was conducted by Dr. Bharat Sukhwal, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Manish Shrimali. The inaugural session was attended by senior faculty members, department heads, scholars, and students, marking a vibrant beginning to the international academic gathering.
