District Collector Inspects Kailashpuri Area with UDA Officials

Illegal Encroachment and Construction in Aravallis Will Not Be Tolerated: District Collector Mehta

Udaipur | District Collector Namit Mehta has adopted a strict stance against illegal encroachment and construction activities in the Aravalli hill range under the special campaign being carried out as per the directions of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. On Thursday, the District Collector conducted an on-site inspection of the Kailashpuri area, adjacent to the city, along with officials of the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) and issued directions for immediate action.

During the inspection, District Collector Mehta ordered the demolition of illegally constructed roads and structures. He categorically stated that any form of encroachment or illegal construction in the Aravalli region will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

It is noteworthy that a few days earlier, the Udaipur Development Authority had already taken action in the same area by sealing several illegal constructions. During Thursday’s inspection, the Collector reiterated the need for stringent enforcement and directed officials to intensify action against violators.

He also instructed that a drone survey of the entire area be conducted to identify encroachments and activities causing damage to the hills. Emphasizing environmental protection, he warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found damaging the hills or interfering with nature. Officials were further directed to ensure swift and effective action against such activities in the future.

UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain, Tehsildar Abhinav Sharma, and other officials from concerned departments were present during the inspection.
